Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the 17 goals, broken down into 169 targets, adopted by UN member states in September 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
They cover poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, water, energy, decent work, industry, inequality, cities, responsible consumption, climate, oceans, land ecosystems, peace and partnerships.
The SDGs were written for governments, but companies use them to show how their CSR priorities contribute to wider goals. The useful version links a few goals to concrete actions and indicators; a page of colored icons with no data behind them proves nothing.
