Challenges

  • Unstructured CSR approach
  • Reduced team, already fully mobilized on operational matters
  • Risk of losing tenders and business opportunities
  • ‍

    Impact

  • 30 days of work saved thanks to Ditto
  • Silver medal obtained during the EcoVadis evaluation
  • Strengthened credibility with key customers
  • ESG structuring has become an asset compared to less advanced competitors
  • Company

A demanding and committed industrial company

Since its creation, Stanco Metal has established itself as a reference in the field of precision metal manufacturing, combining stamping, machining and custom production of high quality parts for demanding industrial sectors.

Faced with growing expectations in terms of sustainability - driven in particular by standards such as EcoVadis - Stanco Metal decided not to settle for compliance. The company has made CSR a strategic lever to differentiate itself in increasingly competitive markets.

I don't recommend businesses very often — but Ditto yes. If anyone asks me, I tell them to go there with my eyes closed. Their platform really accelerated everything: we saved the equivalent of 30 days of work. For us, it's a real relief.

    Daniel Watt Jr.

    General Manager, Stanco Metal Products

    Challenges

Structuring your CSR approach despite a lack of time

The observation was simple: without structuring, Stanco Metal risked losing competitiveness. Faced with better-prepared competitors, the company had to act quickly.

In charge of the project, Daniel Watt Jr. had to move forward in a constrained context: a small team, already fully mobilized on operational matters, and little time to allocate to CSR issues. In addition, there was a concrete risk of losing tenders or key customers, as a result of not being able to demonstrate a tangible commitment to sustainability.

    Solution

A simple platform to quickly structure CSR

To meet this challenge, Stanco Metal chose Ditto, not as a simple tool, but as a true CSR and compliance co-pilot.

Rather than offering only a platform, Ditto has established itself as a structuring force for the company's ESG strategy. Thanks to functionalities adapted to the constraints of the field and a user experience designed for efficiency, the team was able to quickly adopt best practices and gain autonomy.

One of the most decisive elements was access to models, which saved the team considerable time. According to Daniel, these models alone saved the equivalent of 30 days of work — a huge gain.

This free time was able to be reinvested in priority activities, allowing the team to remain focused on operations while making concrete progress on ESG issues.

    Impact

Concrete results and a real gain in credibility

The efforts did not take long to pay off: during the last EcoVadis evaluation, Stanco Metal won the silver medal, marking a significant improvement over its previous score (bronze medal).

Beyond formal recognition, this approach allowed the company to:

    • Strengthen its credibility with strategic customers
    • Securing new business opportunities
    • Se Position yourself as a CSR leader against less advanced competitors
    • Transforming its ESG structure into competitive advantage

    A group-wide deployment

Building on this success, Daniel now plans to deploy Ditto on other sites in the group. It also wants to connect initiatives already in place (zero carbon, packaging reuse, etc.) in a unified system, managed via Ditto. This global structure will make it possible to better meet the expectations of customers such as Schneider Electric and to consolidate a sustainable competitive advantage in an increasingly selective environment.
